Lisa and Miles
Lisa and Miles win the award for "No complaints" on the hottest day. The brides father brought extra fans to keep his girls cool. Lisa's sister Leslie took charge of making sure everyone looked their best. The reception started with some sweet and funny toasts showing what great friends they have. The highlight of the reception was a slide show of the couple from Leslie. It was a pleasure to be a part of their day!

50 and counting
Elizabeth and William
Elizabeth and William were just so laid back on their wedding day. If they were nervous you could have fooled us. We braved the heat a bit before the wedding for a few shots. Then there was a lovely ceremony in Edwardsville, IL. When we got into Forest Park there was cloud cover so the heat wasn't too bad. Well maybe we should ask the guys in tuxes and the girls in layers of dress! An American Place is a wonderful venue for a wedding and everyone had a great time. Our favorite part of the wedding was all the cameras! Almost every family member had a camera and it made us feel great that other love photography as much as we do!

Bright Smiles
Hilary was all smiles during her senior portrait session. I couldn't help but put her on bright and cheery backgrounds, it just fit! Even though we were working against mother nature at the park (the heat and the wind) she just kept smiling. It makes my job so easy when I have such a happy subject to photograph.

Senior Pics Begin!!!!
Well it's that time of year again and high school senior's are making their way into the studio. Last week we had our 1st bunch of 2010 senior's and already it was a blast. Natalie, from Notre Dame High School wanted to do something a little different so she brought in her guitar and an old school mic before heading out to Forest Park water fall in 90 degree heat. Yep it was hot!! But we had fun and got some great shots! I'm sure this year's senior's have much more in store than I can even imagine. Lets get excited!

Kristin and Nick
Kristin and Nick make a fabulous couple. We had a fantastic day with them at what we thought was going to be a "small" wedding. The bride's sister saved the day chasing the taxi that the flowers were left in. The highlight for the couple had to be when their cherished "four footed family" arrived for the photos. The bride's mother did a spectacular job putting the table decorations and cake table together. Kristen's designer signature is all there! Beautiful!

Erin and Denis
We couldn't believe all the great photos we got at the wedding of Erin and Denis. Every shot was amazing and we had such a great time with the wedding party. Even though there was a bit of trouble with the original church selected for their wedding day, they had a wonderful day and enjoyed everything. Everyone was laughs all day as we enjoyed the park and relaxed before the reception. We were so happy to be a part of their wedding and can't wait to show them the pictures.

On the other side
It is always strange to be on the other side of the camera, but it is a great way to get the feeling of what the clients see when I take their pictures. Joe and I took time on our day off to get our engagement pictures taken. Since it rained earlier in the day it was very humid out...we are not warm weather people! But dispite the sticky air we had such a great time being goofy. Joe even took a moment to try and throw me in the pond. The wedding will be here before we know it!
Leigh and Ty
June 6th was a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding. Leigh and Ty picked the Whittmore House on Forsyth as the location for their wedding. The couldn't have picked a better spot on the grounds. A unique tree overlooked their unique ceremony that was officiated by Leigh's cousin Alex, who was ordained especially for this occasion. We had such a great time taking photos after the ceremony because Leigh and Ty were just enjoying the first moments of being a married couple. At the end of the night a towncar came to pick up the couple to make sure they got to the airport on time for their honeymoon! They left at 7am the next morning - hope you had fun!

Evening Laughs
Juliana and Sam were a bit tired when they got to the studio but after a few photos they were ready to go. They had a great time talking with us about our super squirrel and fuzzy pickles! It was a great to end our day with lots of laughs and good times. Sam's birthday is on the 5th and he is having a speed racer birthday cake this weekend. Wish we could be there to eat some!

Kelly and Stephen
It is not often that I get to go to such a wonderful area as St. Albans. Usually we are at Forest Park since it is so close, but to travel away from the city for an engagement session is wonderful from time to time. Kelly and Stephen are perfect for each other! Having met in eighth grade they knew that someday they would get married in the wedding of their dreams. We had to work around the wind a bit during the session, but I was happy these two were willing to try anything! Stephen even closed the car doors for the ladies as we drove all over the area. He's a keeper Kelly!! I can't wait for their wedding next year, Kelly is going to be such a beautiful bride!
