Wide Awake!

Joseph took a minute to get used to the idea of having his photo taken, but once he got warmed up he was wide awake for the whole session. When we talked to Mara on the phone prior to the session we said even sleeping photos would be great since he is only 2 weeks old, but after I got one of those Joseph was awake for the rest of the sitting. He wasn't too sure about the flashing lights but just made himself comfortable on our chairs and pillows and went with the flow. He seems like such a great baby! Since we photographed Mara and Mike's wedding I am so excited to see their new baby boy grow up!

Nothing Static...

When I asked Colleen and Ryan what they had in mind for their engagement photos she said, more natural, nothing stactic! That was so easy with these two because they act so natrual with each other that it is hard to even make them looked posed if I wanted. All I had to do was say put your arms around each other and it was the perfect photo right down to Colleen's feet that were always positioned correctly! I had such a great time in the park and wish these two the best on their wedding planning!

Wedding Bells!

We had a great time talking to engaged couples at the Bridal Show this past weekend. We currently have GREAT show specials going on and would love to take the time to tell you all about them. If you are getting married or know someone getting married just give us a call!
Congrats to all engaged couples out there!

Happy Feet!

When Matthew came in the studio for his 1 year portrait I knew why mom and dad were a bit late in getting them done...they have been chasing him around and finally caught up! He is such a fast walker, maybe I should say runner because we couldn't keep him in one spot for more than 5 seconds. Good thing it doesn't take that long to snap a great shot. Finally we were able to keep his interest in the cars out the window, well at least for about 30 seconds! We had a great time and got so many smiles from Matthew that I'm sure mom and dad will love them.

Nina the model

Nina turned into a super model as we wandered around the park. She decided to go to Lafayetter park and scope out spots that she wanted photos. I love this park because I rarely get to go there and enjoy having a new area to work with in my session. After a clothing change mom grabbed some snack to take with us around the park. She joked how Nina was like a super model with her personal photographer, mom to fix hair and clothing and snacks if she got hungry! It is always fun to work with people from The Hill and I think Nina, mom and I had a great time!

Lost in the City

Oh gosh where do I even start with this one?!?!? After a few shots in the studio it was only natural for Jamie, a season ticket holder, to want to head downtown for pics at one of her favorite places…..Cardinals Stadium!!!
Everything went great until we somehow lost her mom outside the stadium! She drove around looking for a parking spot and ended up getting lost! Hehehe. We couldn’t believe it! But all was well when we were able to meet her at non-other than Keiner Plaza. Jamie had a blast playing in the fountains as onlookers gazed.
I think Jamie and her mom will always remember this shoot and will love the scenic shots!

Cowgirl or Lady??

Rhiannon came in for her 8 year photo session excited that she is now taking horse back riding lessons and claims to be a cowgirl now! I’ve never seen anyone work a cowgirl hat and shinny red boots the way she did! However, mom didn’t let her get away without a few shots in her poke-a-dot dress. So you be the judge, is Rhiannon a cowgirl or a lady????

18 Years!

Claire, Grace, Martha and Ellen have been coming to the studio for 18 years!! We have really watched them grow up and are excited to be a part of all thier portraits for the next 18 years. It is so much fun to take thier photos because after all this time they know exactly how to pose so we can try anything with them. It is a great chance for us to get crazy and creative on our white background (we alway use a white background so they match every year). Thanks for thinking of us every year girls!

Not babies anymore

When Nate and Nina came in to the studio I was shocked because even though we just saw them last year they have both grown so much. Jennifer and I talked about Nina's two year portraits that were...less than fun! And now they take photos like pro models. I was happy to let the kids have some fun at the end of the session because they did such a great job!

Art Show

Talk about creative!
Angel and I had so much fun at Laumeier Sculpture Park! She totally rocked her boots with all the huge crazy art sculptures and she even brought her two precious dogs who could smile on command. As a photographer it’s always nice to try something new in a different setting and Angel gave me the chance to use all of STL’s greatest art pieces. The colors and artistry is enough to never forget her senior sitting!
