A home run!

These two hit a home run by meeting each other at a football game in high school. We did Becky's senior photos and are excited to be a part of this next step in her life. They haven't set a wedding date yet but that didn't stop them from doing engagement photos, lucky for us because I had a great time with them! We chatted about high school, college and what they have been up to now. I asked when they got engaged and Becky said pretty much right after we met! I guess they just knew they were meant for each other, and I agree!

Almost There!

I love when Danny comes in for pictures because I get to talk "mom stuff" with Mary! Not to mention he is super easy to photograph. I couldn't help but give him big hugs and kisses during the session. At this 9 month session he is crawling like crazy and on the verge of standing on his own. I know we want him to grow up big and strong but right now if we don't have to chase him around the room we get tons more photos:) Danny showed us his crab pose and smiled at all the silly things I could come up with for him. I can't believe the next time he comes in he will be a year old...it has just flown by.

Senior Fun!!

Seniors are better than ever this summer! It has been such a blast to travel around St. Louis and take pictures of such amazing girls! This year we are headed to new and fun locations around town...check out some of these cool spots! Look for more photos to come.

Smugs and Kisses

It was such an honor to work with Kerri and Joe at their wedding. We have known them for years and had such a wonderful time with everyone at the wedding. The wedding party came ready to party and kept us on our toes all morning while we took photos. Because of the rain the evening before we had to change our plan a bit, but Kerri was willing to do whatever it took to get some great photos. After a few hours in the park we went to the ceremony that was held on the main field at soccer park - very unique and personal to these two! Of course we had to go by their restaurant after the ceremony, Smugala's Pizza Pub. Too bad there wasn't time to get a few yummy pizzas before the reception! We loved the idea of having a small cake at each table as the centerpiece for guest to cut along with Kerri and Joe as they cut the cake. A perfect way to get everyone involved. We were having such a great time at the reception that it would have been nice to stay and party with everyone, but we were very tired after a long day of photo taking.
Congrats Kerri and Joe, we hope you love all your photos.

Code Words of Love

I couldn't be happier for Lynn and Marty! I met Lynn in high school and I'm happy to say we have been friends for over 10 years!! When she met Marty at a wedding of another high school friend I could tell there was something special. He lived in Philly so they tried the long distance stuff for awhile but decided their love was the real deal so Marty moved here to St. Louis, clearly the better choice if you ask me:) Marty fit right in and we always have a great time when we are all out together.
I enjoyed spending time in the park with them because usually we are in a group setting and although you can see the love it is nothing like when you get them alone. The smiles are genuine and the laughs are sincere...all we needed were a few "code words"
I consider myself lucky to have these two as friends and look forward to seeing them get married, start a family and grow old together. They are a perfect match.

Sweet on you!

We met Erica when she came to the studio for her Senior photos! She must have liked them! Yay!
She met Dan at an Ice Cream Social and he proposed to her at a The Cupcake Factory. That's my kind of couple!!! They really are SWEET together. The day was filled with purple and yellow everywhere, thanks to the bride and her mother. There were lots of ice cream and cupcake detail which really added a personal touch to this wedding.
What a fabulous family to work with! Fun, fun, fun!!!!!!!!!

Summer Love

Katie and Rodney are getting married in less than 3 months and I am happy to say I get to be a part of their wedding day. We did a few engagement photos this past weekend, it was a great opportunity for me to meet Rodney. I have met and talked with Katie several times during the planning process but I was excited to see them together. They were both all smiles during the entire session and were very good at posing together. Katie had a bit of trouble with her hand placement but it just gave Rodney and me a good laugh! I know we will get some wonderful photos from the wedding.

On the Move

I had a fun time with Cecilia. She was on the move so I had to be ready for the split second she was sitting. Although I wouldn't expect any different from a 3 year old, so much new stuff in the studio and a wide open space for dancing. She was eager to show off her dance poses...just not in front of the camera:) Parents are always commenting on how much patience we have here at Ravetta's and I just say "we only have to chase them for an hour, you are chasing them all day!" I'm glad we got some great birthday photos for mom and dad.

Home Sweet Home

It is always nice to have a personal touch to your wedding and what is more personal than a wedding at home. Darcy and Kevin put so much effort into their at home wedding, every detail was beautiful. The weather was a bit sticky for an outdoor wedding, but since it has rained earlier in the week everyone was just happy it didn't rain on the wedding day!
There was a short ceremony on the bridge in the backyard followed by photos all over the property. Since we are downtown St. Louis all the time it was a great change of pace to have some tall grass and wide open fields for beautiful wedding photos. After all the photos we headed to the tents for an amazing dinner by Gregory's Creative Cuisine. Later the wedding party danced the night away, we could tell they were the party people from the moment we arrived!
Congrats Darcy and Kevin, we had a great time.
