For such a little guy, Thomas has the biggest brown eyes I've ever seen! Throughout his entire session he was wide awake and did a wonderful job taking photos. We could not believe how much hair this little guy had either...it sticks straight up! We love that Jamie and Scott took advantage of our Groupon and scheduled their appointment early and we hope to see them again in the near future.

Hot Love
Jenny and Kevin were so laid back when it came to the heat this past weekend. They didn't complain once, I heard Kevin mention "hey it's July" but they were willing to do anything I had in mind. We all just moved very quickly so we could get back inside. We tried to stay in the shade but braved the sun for a few at the grand basin and on the golf course. They have some amazing photos to help remember their summer wedding. By the ceremony time the sun had gone down a bit and it was a lovely outside at the Forest Park Golf Club. Quickly after the 'I do's' we heading inside for the party - and that's exactly what everyone did! Flip flops on, ties off and the wedding party packed the dance floor with all their crazy moves. Despite the heat everyone had a great time.
Congrats,
Rachel
Senior Heat Wave
Just like this summer heat wave, senior portraits are hotter than ever! Everyone has such amazing photos and great ideas this year. As you can see all the girls have their own personalities and its been a blast capturing all the great moments. The sun can't beat us down because these girls are brave enough to endure the heat for pics at their favorite location outside. Stay tuned for more photos to come!

Friends Forever
We have a fun time with these two crazy kids every time we see them! This session was for Hunter but we couldn't help doing some photos with his sister. We got some perfect shots of them playing and interacting with each other in the park. They are best buds and it is great to see how much they love each other. We hope they act so loving at home too! Good job kids and we will see you again soon!

Bundle of Joy
It was a pleasure to photograph a wedding for Nancy and Jeff and even more of a delight to meet Tommy! It was wonderful of them to think of us to do family photos after their son arrived. He is only a couple weeks old and did an amazing job, he was wide awake for the whole session which is very rare for a baby so young. I guess he just wants to check everything out and make sure things are "in order" just like mom. All three of them look perfect in the photos, such a perfect family and we are happy to create memories for them now and in the future.

The Flutter of Love
Amanda and Frank met during college at Fontbonne University. He even proposed in a classroom, so of course we stopped by there to get some photos! You can just see how much these two are in love. Apparently, Amanda's brother-in-law knew they would get married just moments after meeting Frank! This was a big Italian wedding complete with tons of aunts, cousins and everything from the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Except the dresses were way better:) We had a great time with everyone and loved seeing the small touches that were added to everything to make it special.
Congrats!

Love Always
Danielle and Kevin just celebrated their 5th wedding anniversary. They do photos every year but this year was special because they did them right after their Vegas trip as an anniversary present to themselves! I have known Danielle since we were little because our parents are friends. It was hard to take photos because all I wanted to do was chat, catch up and see how things were going for them. Even though it rained and we couldn't go outside we got some great indoor shots and I know they will have a hard time picking their favorite. I'm looking forward to the next time they come in the studio because we have decided to have dinner and really get a chance to talk. Congrats on 5 years and here's to another 50!

A Horse Tail
I had a great time with Katherine during her senior photos. She got me out of the studio to visit Johnny, a horse at Ride on St. Louis -Equine Assisted Therapies in Kimswick, MO. It was a warm day but I was having so much fun getting a tour of the property and playing with the horses that I didn't mind. Johnny did a great job of posing for us and Katherine couldn't have been nicer. I was very excited that she was able to get up on the horse for a few photos too! We did have a bit of a scare with some wasps after we opened a barn door, but we shut it again and nobody got stung! Good luck picking your photos Katherine because they are all amazing!
I also wanted to thank you and your mom for sending me off with lunch from The Dough Depot. It was a great treat and now I'm going to have to go back with my husband to have him try it too!

Happy Birthday
Wow, Elaina is 1:) I can't believe how fast the time has gone by because we have been doing photos for her since she was 3 months old. She has really gotten the hang of the photos because she always brings her smile, but we have to work fast because she is on the move! Mom decided not to do cake photos because Elaina had a bit of a sugary holiday weekend (hey who didn't).
Elaina even got to meet her third cousin, Colton. At least we think they are third cousins, it gets confusing. I'm excited to see more of Elaina and take photos as she grows over the years.

The Perfect Picture
Megan and Eddie were a joy to work with at their engagement session so we knew the wedding day would be a breeze. Megan stopped by the studio with lots of ideas for her wedding photos because being a graphic designer she envisioned her wedding a particular way. We even laughed about how she measured out the sand for the ceremony so everyone poured in the correct amount...I would do the same thing!
They were a lucky couple because with rain in the forecast and drizzles during the outdoor ceremony we were not sure if we would get in any photos at the garden. But we actually got tons of perfect photos and off to the reception we went for a special dance by the men, a viking helmet appearance and tons of fun!
The handmade details of the day made this wedding extra special to everyone that attended.
Congrats,
Rachel and Emily
